This will be one of my next tattoos. Kazimir Malevich’s ‘Black Square’.
It’s about time I found someone that appreciates this artwork as much as I do.
This painting is amongst my favourites.
Also, I’m done trying to explain and justify this painting to people who only choose to reply with “I could have painted that” or “it’s just a black square”. The point is you didn’t paint it, and that black square means a whole lot more than you have ever come up with. There’s a reason Kazimir Malevich is a renowned artist, and you are not.
